Fall Information Technology Security Conference Success
Digital Controls Technology Services Group Launch Security Conference

DAYTON, OHIO, November 11, 2008 - Digital Controls Technology Services Group, specializing in the information security and infrastructure services space, successfully launched their first fall security conference at the Schuster Performing Arts Center in downtown Dayton. The conference held Friday, October 17 featured seven information security tracks targeted at C-level and IT decision-makers throughout the southern Ohio region.

"Once the school year is underway, and just before the holidays kick in – we saw an opening to sustain an annual fall security conference.” according to Chuck Landreville, Sr. Vice-President/General Manager of Digital Controls Technology Services Group division.

The half-day event was scheduled on a Friday morning when schedules might be less hectic. With the sponsorship of key information technology vendor partners, the conference is able to focus on both practices and new security technology products. Attendees were able to enjoy a light breakfast and key to headline the morning and then were provided the choice of a best practice track or a new technology solution track through the noon hour.

The kick-off of the October 2008 conference provided attendees the choices of “Security Metrics and Reporting”, “Anatomy of a Security Culture”, “Hacking Wireless”, “Access to Data is Out of Control”, “Structuring a Disaster Recovery Plan”, and “Enhancing Data Transfer Security”.

"Having planned and participated in similar events, I was pleased with the turnout - as this was our first time, in my tenure at Digital Controls, to organize a conference of this scope. Hopefully, everyone learned something that they could take back to implement into their own security program. Our goal is to provide some ‘how-to’ value to the regional IT community and in return begin to build and nourish relationships with those decision-makers.” said Vernon Dye, Marketing Manager for the Technology Services Group division.
